View all services

Brake Service

Pads, rotors, calipers, lines and fluid flushes, with a free brake check and the worn part shown to you before we quote.

Learn more →

Muffler & Exhaust

Mufflers, pipes, hangers, catalytic converters and custom welding. We trace the leak properly rather than replacing the expensive part first.

Learn more →

Oil Change & Maintenance

Oil and filter changes, fluids, belts, hoses and batteries, with a free multi-point inspection on every car that goes up on the lift.

Learn more →

Engine Diagnostics

Your check-engine light read and traced to the actual cause. You get the code, what it means, and the price before anything is replaced.

Learn more →

Tires & Alignment

Mounting, balancing, rotation and flat repair, plus alignments that stop the pull before it wears out another set.

Learn more →

Suspension & Steering

Shocks and struts, ball joints, tie rods, control arms and steering. The parts that quietly ruin your tires and your alignment long before they fail outright.

Learn more →

Transmission

Fluid services, diagnosis and repair for slipping, harsh shifting and leaks, automatic or manual.

Learn more →

Fuel System

Injector cleaning, fuel pumps, filters and lines. The usual cause of a car that has quietly lost power and mileage over a couple of winters.

Learn more →

Emission Repairs

Catalytic converters, oxygen sensors and EVAP faults. We test before condemning the expensive part, because a converter code is usually not a converter.

Learn more →

A/C & Heating

Air that will not get cold, heat that will not come on, or a system that quits after ten minutes. We find where the refrigerant is going instead of topping it up every summer.

Learn more →

Electrical Repair

Batteries, alternators, starters, lights and wiring faults. We test the circuit before selling you a part, so you are not buying a battery that was never the problem.

Not sure which one
you need?

Most people are not, and that is fine. Tell us what the car is doing in plain words, the noise, the feel, the light on the dash, and we will work out the rest once it is on a lift. The inspection costs nothing either way.

Before any work starts

What's free, and
what's guaranteed

Brake and exhaust work prices honestly by vehicle, so we don't publish a number that turns into a different number at pickup. What we will put in writing is how you're treated before you owe anything.

Multi-point inspection

Always free
  • Every vehicle that goes on the lift
  • Pad thickness and tread depth measured, not guessed
  • You get the written report to keep
Including the brake check. We'd rather show you the measurement than ask you to take our word for it.

A firm written quote

Before we start
  • Parts and labor itemized, not a lump sum
  • Explained in plain English before you decide
  • Nothing is touched until you approve it
Find something you'd rather do next month? Say so. We'll tell you honestly whether it can wait.

No surprises at pickup

Every job
  • Anything found mid-repair is quoted and approved first
  • We show you the parts that came off your car
  • Old parts are yours on request
The invoice matches the quote you approved. If it can't, you hear about it by phone, not at the counter.
How a visit works

Three steps, one price

1

Pull in, or call ahead

Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours, no appointment needed. Tell us what you're hearing, feeling or smelling, and we'll get the car on a lift.

2

We diagnose and call you

You get a multi-point inspection at no charge, a clear explanation of what's wrong, and a firm price. Nothing is touched until you say go.

3

Most repairs, same day

We finish the work, road-test it, and show you the parts that came off. If the total is a stretch, the 101-day plan splits it up with no credit needed.

I had a great experience with Quality and Muffler Brakes. Sam was especially helpful, professional, and honest throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain the repairs clearly and made sure everything was done right without trying to upsell unnecessary work. The brake and muffler repairs were completed quickly, the pricing was fair, and my car is running perfectly now. It’s hard to find trustworthy mechanics these days, but Sam and the team truly care about their customers and the quality of their work. I highly recommend Quality and Muffler Brakes to anyone needing reliable auto repairs.

I had them put some Flowmasters on a small block Chevy 350 in my El Camino and every small fix I needed such as a new gas tank, alternator, new battery, and a oil pan gasket was fixed for a great affordable rate with fast efficient service. I recommend them 100%

★★★★★
I had an amazing experience. They got me in the same day to fix my exhaust, which was already impressive, but what really stood out was everything that happened after. While working on my car, they noticed my brakes were in really bad shape. I asked if there was any chance they could take care of it that same day, and they made it happen. On top of that, my car is an older model and not the easiest to find parts for. They went out of their way to check multiple places around town to track down exactly what was needed. You can tell they genuinely care about doing the job right and taking care of their customers. Fast, honest, and above and beyond service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Advice from the shop · Costs

What a repair actually costs, and why no honest shop quotes one over the phone

It is the first thing everybody wants to know and the one question shops are worst at answering. Here is what actually sets the number, what a real estimate has to contain, and how to compare two quotes without getting the cheap one wrong.

  • The three things that set the price, and which of them a shop can see before the car is on a lift
  • What a real written estimate has to contain, line by line
  • How to compare two quotes properly, so the cheaper one is not the more expensive one

Before you come in

Questions we get every week

Do I need an appointment?

No. Walk-ins are welcome any time during shop hours. Calling ahead just helps us tell you how busy the bays are.

Will you work on my make?

We service most domestic and foreign vehicles. Call with your year, make and model if you're unsure.

How long will it take?

Most repairs are finished the same day. If a part has to come in, we'll tell you before you leave the car.

Can I pay over time?

Yes, our 101-day payment plan needs no credit and is approved right at the counter.

Do you charge for diagnosis?

The multi-point inspection is free. A full diagnostic scan is applied toward the repair if you go ahead with it.

Can I see the old parts?

Always. Ask when you approve the work and we'll set them aside for you.
